World Concern Burma's first phase of relief delivery is well underway. So far, they have provided food and emergency supplies for 40,000 people. They are distributing items to families in emergency camps set-up and managed by local groups, to children in an orphanage and to vulnerable women.

In the first week, they have distributed, or undertaken the following:
  • 80 tons of rice
  • Beans, oil, salt, fish, instant noodles
  • Distilled water, high-energy biscuits
  • Candles, tarpaulins, Oral rehydration salts, mosquito nets
  • Water Guard (chlorine-based household water purification treatment)
  • Generators to pump water from safe wells
  • 2 medical teams based in Bogalay and Yangon
  • Mobile medical teams providing first aid and surgical care
  • Coordination for water purification, rainwater harvesting, and storage efforts 
  • Building materials for home repair
